- Outpatient escort
- Intensive care waiting room host/hostess
- Emergency room assistant
- Clerical and office opportunities
- Medical records
- Guest relations
- Special events
About Our Program
Depending upon available assignments, volunteers can choose between two shift schedules (8am to Noon or Noon to 4pm).
Volunteers sign their own record of attendance. Hours are recorded for annual service awards.
Uniforms and Badges
Wearing a volunteer uniform and photo name badge at all times identifies each volunteer as a Bayfront Health Dade City team member.
A job description exists for every volunteer position in the hospital. Assignments are determined based on your specific skills, expertise, personality and interests whenever possible. Open positions will be reviewed with you during your interview.
All new volunteers are required to attend a half day of hospital orientation. Orientation covers aspects such as fire safety, infection control, customer service, HIPAA, confidentiality, etc. A continental breakfast and complimentary lunch are provided at each orientation session.
It is critical that all volunteers maintain a high degree of patient confidentiality, including refraining from talking about patients and their illnesses or conditions. Every patient has a right to privacy. In addition, we ask that volunteers not seek professional advice from members of our staff.
Bayfront Health Dade City welcomes energetic men and women of all ages and skills to join our volunteer team. Volunteers may work directly with patients or choose to work in non-clinical areas. There are a variety of volunteer roles to fit individual time schedules, abilities and interests.
Meet new people, make new friends, learn new skills and experience the reward of serving others. To learn more about our volunteer program and available opportunities, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (352) 521-1100.
