Visitors to Bayfront Health Dade City should check in at the main information desk located in the main lobby of the hospital. The main entrance doors are open to the public from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. After hours, guests are requested to enter the hospital through the emergency entrance. After hours, access to the hospital may be granted once a guest has checked-in with the ER registration specialist.
General visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. We request that an adult visitor continuously supervise children less than twelve (12) years of age. All visitors, including children, are expected to dress appropriately - which includes wearing shirts and shoes.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) visitng hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visitation is limited to two visitors at one time. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the ICU without special permission. For access to the intensive care unit, please pick up the telephone located on the wall outside the ICU waiting room. Once you pick up the phone, a member of our ICU team will assist you. You will be asked to identify yourself and the patient you wish to visit.
Please note: Our ICU staff may limit the length of visitation based on the patient's condition and need for rest.
Visitors to the emergency room must check in with the ER Admissions Specialist before entering the emergency patient care area.
Overnight visitation is granted at the discretion of the nursing staff and is based upon the condition of the patient. Overnight visitors shall be responsible for providing their own personal necessities. Overnight guests are requested to stay within the parameter of the patient care area and maintain a quiet environment as a courtesy to all patients.
Visitor Waiting Rooms
For the comfort of our guests, visitor waiting rooms are conveniently located throughout the hospital.
- Surgical Waiting Room - located on the south side of the hospital on the first floor. This waiting room is reserved for family members and friends of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Cable television, magazines and a telephone is conveniently located in this area. Our Thyme Out Cafe provides refreshments including pastries and coffee each day for guests in this waiting area.
- Intensive Care Waiting Room - located on the first floor next to the intensive care unit. A telephone is located outside the door of this waiting area so family members can stay in touch with ICU staff at all times. Cable television, magazines, and a telephone are located in this area.
- Main Lobby Waiting Area - located on the first floor at the main entrance to the hospital. This area is reserved for patients and their family members who are waiting for admitting registration. Patients should register at the main lobby information desk upon arrival, so our staff can attend to their registration needs in a timely manner. Cable television, magazines and telephones are located in this area for your convenience.
- Emergency Waiting Room - located on the first floor just inside the ER entrance. Patients should register with an ER admissions specialist upon arrival. Family members and friends are welcome to stay in the waiting room where staff can update them regarding the condition and progress of the patient. Two televisions with cable service are located in this waiting area.
